Abstract :

Sylvia Plath is one of the leading American poets of the Post-World War Ii period. She is a poet, novelist, short-story writer, essayist and diary writer. She is regarded as confessional poet. She has written an confessional poet. She has written five books of poems. She has written an autobiographical novel, The Bell Jar and also a collection of short-stories. Letters Home Correspondence 1950-63 is edited by her mother after her death. The Journals of Sylivia Plath is published by Ted Hughes.
