Abstract :

Lonar Lake, Buldhana, Maharashtra is the only known basaltic meteorite impact crater lake with highly alkaline and hard water. This study investigates the corrosion rate of iron/mild steel coupons immersed in Lonar Lake water compared to distilled water and tap water.
