Volume : III, Issue : VII, August - 2013 A Study Of Achievement Motivation And Self Concept Of School Players Quadri Syed Javeed DOI : 10.9780/22307850, Published By : Laxmi Book Publication Abstract : The objective of the present study was to examine the achievement motivation and self concept of school
players. Total 100 school players were selected the final study. Among them 50 subjects were boy's school players
and 50 subject's girl's school players. The age range of players 13 to 18 years (M =16.08, SD = 2.97). First
hypothesis was there will be significant difference between boys and girls school players with respect to
achievement motivation. And second hypothesis was there will be significant difference between boys and girls
school players with respect to self concept. Achievement motivation inventory was constructed and standardized by
B. N. Mukharji. Results revealed that Girls school players had significantly high achievement motivation than the
boy's school players. Second result was Girls school players had significantly high self concept than the boy's
