This paper examines the profitability of Tata motor ltd and ashok Leyland, two leading
companies of automobile sector. For this purpose various ratios of profitability are
calculated and analyzed. A comparative study of profitability ratio of both the companies
is also done. This paper includes introduction, profitability ratio, hypothesis, researchmethodology,
limitations, profitability analysis of selected units and findings &
