structure of a country depends upon equal development of urban and rural
economy of a country. Viewed in this way, it involves a steady decline in agriculture's
share in GNP (Gross National Product) and a corresponding increase in the share of
industries, trade, banking, construction and services. This transformation in economic
structure is invariably accompanied by a shift in the occupational structure of the labour
force and an improvement in its skill and productivity. Keywords : Article : Cite This Article : BINITA GOGOI, (2013).
