higher standards of social ethics. To them, for a religious man it is imperative to be a
morally upright. Sikh ethical conduct transforms the evils into virtues. Sikh ethical code
of conduct has both spiritual and sociological dimensions which paves the way for the
upliftment of weaker and marginalized sections of society.To Sikh Gurus, for the sociospiritual
development of humankind, people are required to move on righteous path. Sikh
Gurus laid down the ethical code of conduct with intension to ensure gender equality and
social justice. Sikh ethics are based on idea of individual freedom and high regard for
