its comparison with the standard treatment with imipramine in wistar rats. The study was
done using Forced swim test (FST). From the results of present study it is concluded that
Aeglemarmelos has antidepressant activity as shown by the results of force swim test.
Aeglemarmelos extract at both the doses (100 mg/Kg, 200 mg/Kg, p.o) significantly
decreased the duration of immobility, indicating an antidepressant activity.
