Abstract :

The magnetoelectric composites containing cobalt ferrite (CoFe O ) and 2 4 barium strontium titanate (Ba Sr -TiO ) phases were investigated. The composites 0.7 0.3 3 were prepared by standard double sintering ceramic method. The X-ray diffraction analysis was carried out to con?rm the phases formed during sintering and also to calculate the lattice parameters. The hysteresis measurements were done to determine saturation magnetization (Ms), remenance magnetization (Mr) and coercivity (Hc) of the samples. The magnetoelectric voltage coef?cient (dE/dH)H was studied as a function of intensity of the magnetic ?eld. A large ME voltage coef?cient of about 569 ìVcm-1Oe- 1 was observed for 20% CoFe O + 80% Ba Sr TiO composite.
