BEHAVIOURAL RESPONSES OF CLARIAS BATRACUS EXPOSED TO TOXAPHENE TOXICITY

VINOD KUMAR YADAV

Published By : Laxmi Book Publication

Abstract :

Behavioral changes in a fr esh water cat fish clarias batracus was observed in the laboratory under stress caused by different concentrations of an organochiorine pesticide, T oxaphene. These behavioral changes are in response to the toxic environment. After calculation ∟ C50 value of T oxaphene at different exposure periods, et seems that C. batracus is more susceptible to toxaphene. Results show toxic effect of toxaphene on C. batracus.
