miles form Kumbakonam in the Tanjore District, Tamilnadu. The village is famous
because of the Gomuktheeswara Temple and the Tiruvavaduturai Mutt. It comprises
1,348 acres of land the lies on the northern latitude 10°02´ and Eastern longitude 79°34',
and it lies on the southern bank of the sacred river, Cauvery near Narasinganpet Railway
