enhancing the livelihood security of people in rural areas by guaranteeing the
households hundred days of wage-employment in a financial year. This research paper
tries to flag some of the issues that are likely to come up in the debate of performance in
implantation of National Rural Employment Grantee Act (2005) or accomplishment
process and how the Act's contravention is going in field, with unique reference to the
Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. This paper is based on the people's experiences
