Abstract :

An attempt was made in the present investigation to assess the distance learners' attitude towards distance education on the basis of gender (male & female), locality (urban & rural) marital status (married & unmarried), and employment status (employed & unemployed). A sample of 200 distance learners who are engaged under Bachelor Degree Programme in three Study Centre of Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU) was selected randomly. The sample was administered an Attitude Scale designed by Dr. Mukhopadhyaya. The result revealed that there was no significant difference between the groups of distance learners with regard to their attitude towards distance education.
