Community Participation in elementary Education

Abstract :

Bringing in the community to the school as a support to both academic & non-academic activities ,as observed by researches as also of experts, help in enhancing the learning of children. It is also a strategy to bring out quality improvement in education to achieve Education for all (EFA). This paper looks into the ways to improve the participationof community in school. The paper also provides the experiences of Lok Jumbish & M.V.Foundation which have gone steps ahead in bringing the community to the class.
