Abstract :

Education brings about all-round development of each individual. Due to education, the vision towards life becomes broader, one's experiences are enriched. Therefore, education has today become a basic need of man. In this process, if the person giving education (i. e. teacher) is capable, then the benefits of true education would flow automatically. The development of each nation depends upon the quality of the education of that nation and the quality of education, in turn, depends upon teachers of the nation. In the pre-Independence era, the profession of teachers was accepted with a feeling of social commitment. In current times, the number of people entering this profession is huge, which is a good thing. But in today's competitive world, the number of people who turn to this profession due to not getting success in other fields or enter the profession on other's will is also huge, which is a matter of concern. If any profession is accepted whole – heartedly, then one can fulfill the objectives of the profession, otherwise one has to face problems in the profession.
