International Migration and Remittances

Abstract :

Human migration is a physical movement by human beings from one geographical area to another geographical area. Migration is internal as well as external. At the international level, no universally accepted definition for “Migrant” exists. The Unite Nations defines “migration as an individual who has resided in a foreign country for more than one year irrespective of the causes, voluntary or involuntary, and the means, regular or irregular, used migrate”. Key terms of migrations is documented migration, economic migration, irregular migration, skilled migration, temporary workers migration, internally displaced persons (IDP) migration, refugee, stateless person, etc. .
