Family's Perception of Differently Abled Members' Capacities

PRAJAKTA TANKSALE

Published By : Laxmi Book Publication

Abstract :

Differently abled persons are equal citizens of the society. They need to be reintegrated and rehabilitated in the society so that they receive equal opportunities for development. For the integration and rehabilitation of the differently abled, it is important that the outlook towards them should change, recognition to their rights to lead normal life should be given, and equal opportunities to develop should be extended to them. Steps towards such rehabilitation and integration can be taken if their capacities are recognised by the society, their families and people around them and also by themselves.
