Agriculture sector is the mainstay of the Indian economy contributing about 15 per cent
of national Gross Domestic Product. The importance of long-term credit for agriculture
cannot be over emphasized. Due to modernization of Indian Agriculture, agricultural
finance has a vast scope in future. Agriculture Rural Multipurpose Development Banks
in India have become important institution providing long-term agricultural credit. The
involvement of the NABARD in financing long-term agricultural credit has necessitated
