Volume : II, Issue : V, June - 2012 SCENARIO OF RURAL HEALTH CARE SYSTEM IN INDIAM.MARIKKANI Published By : Laxmi Book Publication Abstract : Universal access to safe drinking water, health and education is a must for any society to progress
which can also be considered as the basic requirement of the people. Public health is considered a public
good where everybody benefits from it but no body individually is ready to pay. Good health for any
individual calls for at least adequate nutrition and adequate physical exercise. But the pathetically poor state
of health of the vast majority of India's population is the direct outcome of the skewed concept of
development adopted starting with the New Economic Policy of 1991(NEP-1991). Keywords : Article : Cite This Article : M.MARIKKANI, (2012). SCENARIO OF RURAL HEALTH CARE SYSTEM IN INDIA.
