Abstract :

Aim: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of selected linear variables with the performance of Shot put in Disco put style. Method: Ten male shot putters were selected as subject. For the establishment of relationship of dependent and independent variables the following tests were employed. Velocity of shot, Velocity of wrist, Height of shot release and Displacement of shot. With the help of Casio High Speed Camera (300 F/s) was used to film the subjects is sagital & frontal plane of Shot putter. Siliconcoach Pro 7 Software was used in order to obtain the values of selected linear kinematics variables from develop stick figures feature. The performance was measured from the inner edge of the throwing circle to the point where the Shot touched the ground.
