CHALLENGES AND REMEDIES OF OLD AGE IN INDIA

Abstract :

The conventional norms and values of Indian society ordered stress on showing respect and providing look after the old. Consequently, the older members of the family were taken care of within the family itself. Advent of modernization, manufacture, urbanization, occupational differentiation, education and growth of individual philosophy has worn traditional values and caused for the disintegration of joint families and emergence of nuclear families finished with the negligence of the old. These adventures have semiconductor diode to defiance and decline of respect for elders among members of younger generation. during this light-weight the current study is emerged
