Abstract :

Cultural Intelligence is an individual capability .This means it is not an aspect of personality or personal interests. It is a set of capabilities that leads to specific outcomes - such as decision making, performance, and adjustment in culturally diverse settings. Cultural Intelligence is a state-like capability. This means it is malleable - that cultural intelligence is not fixed, but that it changes based on people's interactions, efforts, and experiences (Gilbert & Hixson, 1991). The present study attempts to investigate the effects that EFL students age and gender have on their cultural intelligence (CQ). This essay contains different aspects of mindfulness. Also, some components of CQ such as cultural metacognition are studied as well. To do different phases of the present article, 200 EFL university learners comprising 115 females and 85 males participate for the CQ Scale and finding out the effects of age and gender. The results imply that both age and gender have a significant effect on learners CQ.
