By : Laxmi Book Publication

Abstract :

The post-1991 economic reforms in India ushered in a new era for the country’s financial sector, particularly for commercial banks. These reforms, driven by the recommendations of the Narasimham Committees and aligned with global regulatory standards such as the Basel Accords, sought to modernize Indian banking by enhancing operational efficiency, strengthening capital adequacy, and ensuring sound asset management.
