Abstract :

This study explores the historical development, presence, and expansion of minority religions in Eastern India, focusing on regions such as West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Bihar. It examines how religious diversity in this area has evolved through ancient, medieval, colonial, and post-independence periods.
