Abstract :

The foundational principles of freedom, equality, and democracy have long been heralded as the cornerstones of modern political thought and governance. However, in practice, these values often come into tension with one another. In the 21st century, these tensions have become more pronounced due to rising populism, digital surveillance, global inequality, and shifting political norms.
