Abstract :

Indias engagement with Southeast Asia has transformed dramatically since the end of the Cold War. From a hesitant trading partner in the early 1990s to a strategic player in the Indo-Pacific, India’s relationship with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) embodies both economic ambition and geopolitical calculation.
