Abstract :

This paper examines the intricate relationship between economic sanctions, strategic policymaking, and national sovereignty within the global political economy. It explores how sanctions function as instruments of coercive diplomacy, assessing both their intended strategic goals and unintended consequences for targeted states and the broader international system.
