THE REALITY OF DRINKING WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION IN SWACHH BHARAT: A COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS

Abstract :

Drinking water supply and sanitation in rural India continue to face significant challenges despite government efforts to improve access to these basic necessities. Access to clean drinking water is a major issue in rural areas, with many communities relying on contaminated surface water ponds and streams, for their dally needs, The lack of adequate sanitation facilities is another concern, with many households lacking access to toilets or using open defecation.
