By : Laxmi Book Publication

Abstract :

With an emphasis on how satire was used as a tool of provocation and commentary in the context of political and economic changes, this paper examines the relationship between trade, politics, and satire in Indian political writings from the seventeenth century. Significant political changes occurred in India during this time, including the emergence and collapse of empires, the arrival of European colonial powers, and the alteration of trade networks.
