Abstract :

The present study investigates the ecology and biodiversity of zoobenthos in the aquatic ecosystems of Sidhi, Madhya Pradesh, India. Zoobenthos, comprising a diverse array of organisms inhabiting the substrates of rivers, streams, and ponds, play critical roles in nutrient cycling, sediment dynamics, and ecosystem functioning. Understanding the composition, distribution, and ecological interactions of these benthic communities is essential for effective freshwater ecosystem management and conservation.
