K. Jayakumar, -

By : Laxmi Book Publication

Abstract :

In this study an attempt has been made to explore the global responses to the 1857 Revolt, examining perspectives from British, Indian, European, American, Canadian, Russian, Chinese, and various other nationalities. The British reaction, shaped by political and imperial motives, aimed to prevent negative repercussions in their colonies, asserting racial superiority and justifying retribution against the Indians.
