Abstract :

Death in the Buddhist tradition is a natural phenomenon. It appears with the life and continues to exist; so long there is the process of life. It is an unavoidable fact. To understand the significance of Maraṇassati, a clear definition of the term Maraṇassati in the Tipiṭaka is essential.
