Abstract :

The scheduled castes are most backward sections of the society and as such, they are facing socio-economic inequality and poverty. Realizing their problems, the Government has implemented various poverty alleviation schemes and self-employment schemes and in Karnataka state, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Development Corporation has been incorporated to implement various schemes for the welfare of scheduled castes.
