Abstract :

The purpose of this study was to explore student-teachers' Classroom Teaching Performance (CTP) and relations amongst its sub factors. The sample (N=120) of the study were selected from students of D. T. Ed. colleges. In this study, Classroom Teaching Performance Scale (CTPS) were developed to investigate and to measure the student-teachers CTP. The collected data has been analyzed by applying One –way ANOVA and Pearson 'r' and t test. In the comparison F (4,595) ratio for various factors of CTP Factors was 16.17 and it was significant at 0.05 level. The difference amongst factors found significant. So, the null hypothesis was rejected and the differences amongst factors verified by Scheffe's post hoc test. Scheffe's post hoc test for factors of CTP Factors according to which the mean differences between Introduction and Presentation (MD= -1.30, q=3.85), Introduction & Evaluation (MD= 1.32, q= 3.92), Presentation and Use of Teaching Aids (MD=1.1, q=9.78) Presentation & Use of Different teaching Methods ( MD= 2.90, q=7.34), Presentation & Evaluation (MD=2.62, q=7.78) and Using of Teaching Aids & Evaluation (MD=1.52, q=4.52) are significant at 0.05 level. The mean values of Presentation, Using of Teaching Aids and Introduction are greater than mean values of Use of Different teaching Methods & Evaluation. The foremost effective factors are Presentation, Using of Teaching Aids and then Introduction amongst the all five factors.
