Abstract :

Foreign exchange reserve is also called forex reserves. Foreign currency deposit and bonds held by central bank and monetary authorities. Generally too much is bad as too little is also not good like that when we have more foreign exchange reserves the money supply in the economy will be increasing that will create the inflation problem, when we have low foreign exchange reserves that is also not good because India need more reserves to pay for import and to pay for the short-term debt. The country needs a foreign exchange reserves to meet its requirements. Foreign exchange is one of the topic which receives a global concern among the policy makers after reforms. The integration of market domestically as well internationally brings a more changes in the economy that can be protected by accretion of foreign exchange reserves.
