| Bangalore University, Bangalore, has postponed the Postgraduate third semester examination of Nov-Dec 2013. In the view of UGC NET examination scheduled to commence from 22 Dec 2013. PG students from BU affiliated colleges has demanded to postpone the third semester theory examination.

Bangalore University, is set to conduct the PG third semester theory examination from 16 Dec 2013, but now it has been changed to another date. University rescheduled the PG third semester theory examination to commence from 31 Dec 2013. The changed date of the examination will be informed to the university affiliated colleges very soon. Therefore, as directed by the Vice-Chancellor, B Thimme Gowda, the chairpersons of the PG department and HOD of the Departments of affiliated colleges offering PG degree courses, may make the necessary arrangements to conduct the PG odd semester practical examination, before the commencement of PG theory examination. BU PG centre at Ramanagaram soon: Bangalore University is all set to open its Postgraduate Centre at Ramanagaram soon. Even the draft statutes for setting up of a PG centre at Ramanagaram has been approved by the university syndicate in a meeting held on November 11. As per the plan, the university has decided to start the academic activities from the academic year 2014-15, and for this purpose they have identified temporary accommodation at the Sericulture Department. "In the beginning we will offer MCom and MSW courses. For the time being we will start the courses from a building in the Sericulture Department at Ramanagar. Once the land is sanctioned, we will start the construction activities," said Vice-Chancellor B Thimme Gowda.
