New Delhi: ICICI Bank on Wednesday said it would seek shareholders' approval for appointment of M K Sharma as non-executive chairman.
The decision to this effect was taken in a board meeting held on Wednesday, the country's largest private sector lender said in a regulatory filing to stock exchanges.
Besides, the board also approved the proposal for seeking consent of shareholders for appointment of Vishakha Mulye as whole-time director "effective January 19, 2016 upto January 18, 2019 being the term approved by RBI (Reserve Bank of India)", it said.
Mr Sharma, a former vice chairman of Hindustan Unilever Limited, is an independent director of several leading companies and has been a member of government committees relating to corporate law and corporate governance. |
