| EDGE — 2015 (Educational Guidance and Exhibition) organised by Excel Group of Institutions to provide higher education guidance to Plus-Two students features 60 institutions from Chennai, Coimbatore, Salem, Namakkal, and other parts of the State.
The three-day exhibition at Malligai Arangam supported by the Sri Rangaswamy Educational Trust that runs the Excel Group of Institutions attracted students interested in making careers in the areas of engineering, medicine, and marine studies, according to the organisers.
Inaugurating the exhibition, C. Raja, Additional Superintendent of Police, said such events were essential in the backdrop of existence of several institutions and the rising awareness about higher education among parents.
Unlike a decade back when higher education aspirants had no guidance on what and where to study, students were fortunate to take informed decisions in the present situation, he said.

In his address, A.K. Natesan, chairman, Excel Group of Institutions, saw a sound augury for job generation in the ‘Made in India’ campaign of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Prof. Natesan, who is also the chairman of ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education), Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Section, said that colleges in the State were doing their best to impart requisite skills.
