PATTERNS OF GENERAL LAND USE IN KATHUA DISTRICT, J&K

Abstract :

Land is the main source of livelihood for millions of years ago for mankind. It is the basic natural resource and regarded as the most important area of the earth’s surface. It is by for the most significant asset of the nation and from the earliest times man has used it to satisfy his multiple needs. In the light of the above, an attempt has been made to study the pattern of General land use of Kathua District. For the present study, secondary data is used which is obtained from the Revenue Department (Lal Kitan).
