Abstract :

This paper describes the synthesis and structural studies of the borate & rare earth doped borate glass system, Na2O–ZnO–ZnF2–B2O3 prepared by melt quenching method. Sodium borate containing ZnF2 glasses have been synthesized by melt quenching technique over a wide composition range.
