Pupil Teachers' Perceptions Towards Inclusive Education

Abstract :

On the assumption that the successful implementation of any inclusive policy is largely dependent on educators being positive about it, a great deal of research has sought to examine teachers' attitudes and perceptions towards the inclusion and, more recently, the inclusion of children with special needs (CWSN) in general education is becoming more prevalent. This study explores the perceptions of pupil teachers in teacher training institutions towards inclusive education. Specifically, the study investigated the relationship between particular demographic factors and pupil teachers' perceptions toward inclusive education. The sample comprises of 50 pupil teachers, seventeen males and thirty three females. Out of these 24 pupil teachers were from B. Ed. Special Education and 26 pupil teachers from B. Ed.
